    The need for speed

SARATOGA SPRINGS — The Saratoga Automobile Museum recently announced the addition of two Ferrari models, the F40 and F50, to its exhibition “Enzo Ferrari: An Obsession with Speed.”

These models will be showcased alongside other historic vehicles, offering visitors a look into the legacy of Enzo Ferrari and his impact on automotive engineering and design.

The F40, launched in 1987 to celebrate Ferrari’s 40th anniversary, represents 1980s supercar design and Ferrari’s pursuit of speed and performance. The F50, a limited-production model with only 349 units produced, reflects Ferrari’s Formula 1 heritage and combines advanced technology with craftsmanship.

“The F40 and F50 represent milestones in Ferrari’s history and the spirit of Enzo Ferrari – a visionary whose passion for speed and excellence continues to inspire enthusiasts worldwide,” Megan Hennessey, Director of the Saratoga Automobile Museum, shared in a statement.

“Enzo Ferrari: An Obsession with Speed” explores Ferrari’s legacy through a collection of cars, memorabilia, and interactive displays. The exhibition will run until October 27 at the Saratoga Automobile Museum in Saratoga Springs.
