FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships Preliminary Athlete Team Nomination
The best freestyle athletes from around the world will gather in Engadin, Switzerland, for the 2025 FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships from Mar. 18-30. Each country will nominate four athletes per gender, per discipline. Complete nominations will be made later this season; however, this year, the U.S. athletes had the opportunity to prequalify based on their standings from the 2023-24 season. According to prewritten criteria, ‘U.S. Ski & Snowboard will nominate the top one (1) U.S. athlete, respective of gender, ranked in the top three (3) on the 2025 FIS Base List.’

City Council to Consider Opioid Settlement
ROCK SPRINGS – The Rock Springs City Council will consider a settlement between the city, the State of Wyoming and Kroger during its meeting Tuesday night. The resolution the Council will consider is the acceptance of a national opioids settlement with Kroger, which owns and operates the Smith’s Food and Drug grocery store brands. According to the Associated Press in 2023, Kroger agreed to pay up to $1.4 billion to settle opioid lawsuits filed against the company. Of that amount, $1.2 billion will go to local and state governments in 35 states eligible for compensations.

Greeley police and the coroner's office are investigating two drownings at Poudre Ponds in northern Greeley. The two men, ages 21 and 23, were found submerged in water last Thursday morning.
