Powell hosts the 2024 Wyoming American Legion Baseball Class ‘A’ State Tournament from July 27-31. It is an eight-team, modified, double-elimination bracket. The Powell Pioneers are the defending Class A State Champions. It was their first championship since 2010. Six of the eight teams were in last year’s field. Air quality alert issued for Natrona County due to wildfire smoke
CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Much of eastern Wyoming is now under an air quality alert until 1 p.m. Wednesday. On Tuesday, the National Weather Service in Cheyenne stated that Casper and other parts of the state are currently experiencing poor air quality conditions due to wildfire smoke originating from Canada and the Pacific Northwest.

CHEYENNE, Wyo., July 22, 2024 — The 128th Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo could be life-changing for Kansas cowgirl Chelsea Moore. Riding her five-year-old gelding, The Kandyman, that she calls Jackson, Moore stopped the clock in 17.07 seconds to win Quarterfinals 4 of the rodeo and advance to the Semi Finals.
