In true Star Valley fashion, a local cowboy showed off his water skills on Palisades Reservoir over the weekend. While at the reservoir with a group of young men over the weekend, Jared Clinger of Freedom decided to show them how it was done. He jumped in the water with his long sleeved shirt, wranglers and boots still on. Clinger, at 52 year of age, then proceeded to be pulled behind the boat on a wakeboard.

The Grand Valley is almost always the hottest part of Colorado’s Western Slope. We’ll be nearing 100 degrees in the Grand Valley on Tuesday. Some of our backyard thermometers may touch the century mark, but most of us will stay just shy. Wednesday is a different story. High temperatures will range from 101 degrees around Grand Junction to 103 degrees around the Redlands to 104 degrees around Fruita.
