CODY, Wyo., July 2, 2024 — No barrel racer has made more runs in the arena at Stampede Park than Hadley Tate, who fulfilled a big goal on Tuesday night. Tate is the daughter of stock contractors Maury and Nikki Tate of Mo’ Betta Rodeo Company. They have supplied animals and produced the Cody Night Rodeo for the last 20 years. The Tate’s main residence is in Apache, Oklahoma, but they spend their summers in Cody. The youngest of the Tate’s two daughters started running barrels here when she was four years old on her Shetland Pony named LuLu.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit likely to open at former Casper downtown Village Inn
CASPER, Wyo. — The shuttered downtown Casper Village Inn at 325 S. Durbin St. is poised to become the first Dickey’s Barbecue Pit location in Casper. The building was purchased by Travis Brown of Cheyenne, who operates the Eat Sleep BBQ LLC based at 1400 Dell Range Blvd. in Cheyenne, according to records at the Secretary of State’s office. The same Frontier Mall location is also a Dickey’s Barbecue Pit. The building is being purchased under Food Rush LLC, according to City of Casper records.
Bryli Groll from Cokeville Will Run Track at the University of Wyoming
Cokeville’s Bryli Groll has signed with the University of Wyoming track and field program. Groll was a three-time state champion in the 800 meters, three-time state champion in the 1600 meters, two-time state champion in the 3200 meters, and a state champion in the 400 meters. She holds the Class 1A state record in the 1600 (5:21.44) and 3200 meters (11:50.81). Groll also holds school records at CHS in the 1600 meters, girls’ javelin, and the Sprint Medley Relay.
