Josh Rachal has been a Fairhope resident for over twenty six years. He graduated from Fairhope High School in 2002 and attended the University of Alabama graduating in 2007 with a Bachelors of Arts in Human and Environmental Studies. Upon graduation Josh moved back to Fairhope and began his career as a firefighter and retired as a Lieutenant in 2023.

Foley Moves Forward With Entertainment District
The entertainment district proposed for Foley could bring more business and activity to downtown without leading to problems with disruptive behavior. The Foley City Council approved a first reading of an ordinance to establish an entertainment district in the downtown area west of Alabama 59. The ordinance is scheduled for a final vote in August.
