Biloxi Ward 4 Special Election results decided following close runoff
The votes are officially in, and Rodney McGilvary has been elected to the Biloxi City Council as the Ward 4 Councilman following a dramatic runoff. McGilvary received 452 total votes in the runoff election on July 9th. Runner-up Jamie Creel finished closely behind with 443 votes. Additionally, two write-in votes were cast.
State signee Conrad Cason drafted by Red Sox
Mississippi State 2024 baseball signee Conrad Cason has been selected in the 8th round of the 2024 Major League Baseball draft by the Boston Red Sox with pick #237. Cason is a player who has received interest from pro clubs throughout his senior season. An injury hampered some of his play during the '24 season, but not enough to fall in the eyes of big league scouts.
