    Above and beyond: Here are Saugerties' scholar athletes for 2023-24

    The Mid-Hudson Athletic League recently honored its top senior student-athletes for each high school. Saugerties High School selected Gabrielle Papa and Sahil Singh Sekhon

    Gabrielle Papa

    Class Rank: 5

    Varsity Sports: Volleyball; Bowling; Flag Football

    Academic Honors/Extracurricular Activities: Student Government Vice President; National Honor Society Vice President; Student Council; Athletic Council; Math Team; Key Club

    Athletic Honors: Team Captain for Volleyball; Varsity Bowling Section IX Champion; Varsity Bowling State Qualifier

    Community Service: Key Club; Glasco Fire Department

    Future Plans: University of Buffalo to major in Mechanical Engineering

    Sahil Singh Sekhon

    GPA: 100.57

    Class Rank: 1

    Varsity Sports: Football; Soccer; Tennis
