Sauk Democrats to meet Thursday

Ferry in Sauk County temporarily closed after vehicle found in water
SAUK COUNTY, Wis. -- The Merrimac Ferry was closed shortly after midnight Friday due to a vehicle being removed from the water near the south landing, Wisconsin Department of Transportation spokesperson Michael Bie said. It is now reopened.

The Sauk County boy authorities believe ran away to live in the woods has now been missing for a year. Family, friends and strangers gathered for a vigil Wednesday night, one year since James Yablonski left his Reedsburg home. He was 13, and brought the family’s car to the bluffs in Baraboo.

BARABOO, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Today marks one year since 13-year-old James Yoblonski of Sauk County went missing. The boy was last seen at his home the day before investigators believe he drove the family’s vehicle to Baraboo and left it abandoned by the bluffs. One year later, the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office and Yoblonski’s father, Bill, said they have no substantial leads.
