BARRON COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) - A Minnesota man pleaded guilty Friday in the armed robbery and assault of an elderly man in Barron in December. Court documents show that on July 19, 33-year-old Ryan Charpentier of Little Canada, Minn., pleaded guilty to armed robbery as party to a crime with an increased penalty for an elder person victim. Charpentier was charged as one of two suspects in the armed robbery and assault of an elderly man in Barron, Wis., on Dec. 19, 2023.

(KNSI) — A new St. Cloud business improvement district cleared the first of two major hurdles Monday night. City council approved establishment of the zone, which would use a combination of fees paid by commercial property owners and pledged sponsorships for cleaning, security, and other beautification efforts.
