Soo Brewing Company hosts brat fundraiser for homeless on July 16

SAULT STE. MARIE — The Sault community will be able to come together to support the homeless in the Eastern Upper Peninsula at a fundraiser next week.

On Tuesday, July 16, the Chippewa Luce Mackinac Community Action Agency will be hosting a new community fundraiser to help out the homeless population in its three-county region. The Brat Fundraiser will mostly feature food sales of brats, sides and other delicious delicacies.

Soo Brewing Company will be hosting the event as well as donating the food and beverages. The fundraiser will take place from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday.

All proceeds will go directly towards CLMCAA programs to provide food, support and other essential services to homeless individuals and families in the EUP. CLMCAA is responsible for organizing a variety of programs to help community members, including trying to provide more permanent solutions for the homeless.
