Valleyfair Holding Event To Support Childhood Cancer
Shakopee, Minnesota amusement park Valleyfair is teaming up with the American Cancer Society's Gold Together initiative to support childhood cancer. Donors who give $75 or more are invited to Valleyfair on August 23rd, 2024 for rides, a catered lunch and a program at the park. There is also an opportunity to sponsor a Gold Together family as well, which costs $500.

Winsted man suffers burns after yard fire accident
A Winsted man was flown to Hennepin County Medical Center with severe burns after an accident involving yard cleanup on Thursday afternoon. According to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, they received a call at 12:48 p.m. on July 25 reporting a man with significant burns. Deputies responded to a residence in the 27500 block of 742nd Avenue in Dassel Township, along with Dassel Fire & Rescue, Mayo Ambulance, and Lifelink III air medical services.
