Tuesday afternoon storms likely for some - Savanna

WHAT WE'RE TRACKING :

• Scattered storms Tuesday afternoon

• Drying out by mid to late week

• Heating up this weekend

PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOURS : We will see two rounds of showers and storms today. One early morning round leading to some lightning and downpours, some stronger storms could produce small hail and gusty winds too. Then scattered storms re-develop ahead of a cold front Tuesday afternoon and evening, with high temperatures near 80 degrees again. Temperatures will only fall into the mid 60s Tuesday night under partly cloudy skies.

EXTENDED FORECAST : We should remain dry Wednesday through at least Saturday of this upcoming weekend. Temperatures remain seasonal throughout all of this week before temperatures climb into the upper 80s Sunday through the middle of next week. With the return of warmer temperatures and humidity, storm chances will return by Sunday, lasting into the early part of next week. Additionally, due to wildfires out west and smoke being caught in the jet stream, our skies across southern Wisconsin will remain hazy over the next few days.
