Storm chances Thursday - Savanna

PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOURS : Heavy rain is the main threat with any early morning storms, but most are fizzling out as they enter southern Wisconsin. This is because there has not been quite enough instability/storm energy to support severe weather, and due to the placement of the front. These storms were producing lightning and heavy rain well west of the area over Minnesota and Iowa. It looks like storms could redevelop later Thursday afternoon and evening, where all severe weather modes would be possible, including an isolated tornado threat. Temperatures will be in the mid 80s this afternoon and then fall into the upper 60s tonight. A few showers will linger into early Friday morning.

EXTENDED FORECA ST : Friday, Saturday, and Sunday temperatures will still be in the mid to upper 80s, but by next week temperatures will fall to below normal. Our next chance of showers returns by Sunday afternoon and night.
