A museum for everything historic!!

The Mint Museum is the original branch of the United States Mint. Museum was opened in 1936 in Charlotte’s Eastover neighborhood as the state’s first art museum. It is good as it has many exhibits to look at and exhibits in different rooms...three floors.

Some walk on the greenway that is right next to it. The museum is one of the most well-known art institutions in Charlotte. The museum has famous American impressionists, the craft and design collection, and Modern and Contemporary Art.

There is a beautiful park setting, intimate galleries invite visitors to engage with the art of the ancient Americas, ceramics and decorative arts, and European and African art, among other collections. The staff, two ladies, are friendly and welcoming.

They went out of their way to be kind. Resources include a reference library with over 18,000 volumes, a theatre featuring lectures and performances.
