SPD arrests woman in deadly Abercorn Street shooting

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – The Savannah Police Department (SPD) has arrested one woman in connection with a domestic homicide that occurred Sunday night.

Police responded to the 10000 block of Abercorn Street based on reports of a shooting. Once on the scene, officers discovered the adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

Chatham EMS responded to the scene and attempted life-saving measures, but he succumbed to his injuries. The identity of the victim is not known at this time.

SPD arrested Kierra Fields, 33. She has been charged with involuntary manslaughter.

SPD says the investigation is ongoing.
