Housing Authority of Savannah accepting waitlist applications for Horace Stillwell Towers

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – The Housing Authority of Savannah (HAS) has announced that it is officially taking applications to be put on the waitlist for public housing. These waitlist spots are aimed at assisting senior and disabled individuals.

The waitlist application period will be open from July 15 at 8:30 a.m. till July 16 at 4:30 p.m. Online applications must be submitted through RENTCafe account. No cost for pre-application.

Only online submissions will be accepted. Internet access is available at the Housing Authority of Savannah’s main office in Building A and public libraries.

Applications will be reviewed in order based on the date and time of completion to the closing of the waiting list.

New users must create a RENTCafe account before being added to the waiting list. Existing RENTCafe users are not required to create a new account. Technical assistance is available by calling 912-235-5800.

Listed below are the steps to create a RENTCafe account

• Visit Savannah PHA site
• Click ‘APPLICANT LOGIN’ for RENTCafe Login.
• Select ‘Click here to register.’
• Enter your email and create a password (min. 10 characters, including upper case, lower case,
• number, symbol).
• Confirm account creation via email.

• Verification of Existing Account: Respond to specific questions to determine if a RENTCafe

• account exists; create one if necessary.
