Lucas Theatre’s ‘Soundtrack Summer’ brings classics back to the big screen

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – The historic Lucas Theatre in downtown Savannah continues its tradition of bringing movie nostalgia to life with its Soundtrack Summer series.

Six classic films with iconic scores and soundtracks will be screened over the next six weeks at the majestic 1921 theatre, offering a wide range of genres including thrillers like Alfred Hitchcock’s North by Northwest , dramas such as The Graduate , and musicals like Mamma Mia! .

The showings will be held each Thursday evening in July and August, with lights dimming at 7 p.m.

Each screening will feature pre-show trivia, and “themed surprises”.
