The Savannah region is under a heat advisory on July 6 until 8 p.m., with heat index values expected to be in the 108 degrees to 112 degrees range, according to the National Weather Service.

This marks the fifth day of extreme weather this summer, according to a City of Savannah press release. As such, the city and its partners have options, from community centers to pools, available to stay cool during Saturday's heat.
