Rock Your Peace: Mediation Center hosts awareness event

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – The Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire hosted a free Rock Your Peace rock painting awareness event on Thursday as a part of their 100 days of intentional peace-building.

On day 34, people of all ages joined together in one space creating messages of peace in Savannah with rocks and colorful paint designs.

“Peace comes from within first,” said Sherlisa Praylo, head of Community Outreach at the Mediation Center. “So recognizing that peace within and actually sharing that with everybody else right?”

She continued: “And so we want to show that we’re continuously working on spreading peace in the community.”

The rocks will be placed around Savannah so that someone else can find the messages of peace.

Meanwhile, the Mediation Center’s Peace in the Park event is planned for Sept. 22 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Daffin Park.
