Concession in Savannah/Hilton Head Intl. Airport wins international award

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – A concession at the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport has been recognized by the Airports Council International – North American (ACI-NA), at the 2024 Airport Concessions Awards.

David and Carol Legasse, owners of the Salt Table and Salt Table Spirits, and their team were recognized as the 2024 Best New Retail Concept Award winner.

During the awards, the ACI-NA recognize airports, concessionaires, and industry business partners for their work in elevating the traveling public’s experience.

In a press release, the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport stated, “David and Carol Legasse have demonstrated unparalleled creativity, and a dedication to providing passengers with memorable and enjoyable shopping experiences at Savannah/Hilton Head International (SAV).”

The aiport continued, “Their efforts have not only elevated the standards of airport retail at SAV but also within the industry and contributed to the overall appeal and satisfaction of travelers passing through our airport. Through their vision and commitment, they have set a benchmark for excellence.”

The Salt Table offers countless Salt Table brand products locally made at the Salt Table food facility in the Savannah area.

In addition to the salts and seasoning blends, the shops feature teas, sugars, oils, balsamic vinegars, popcorn, wine, jams and jellies, hot sauces pecans, snacks and more.

The Salt Table Spirits shop features a selection of locally crafted distilled products that can be brought aboard the planes.

The ACI-NA represents local, regional and state governing bodies that own and operate commercial airports in the United States and Canada.

ACI-NA is the largest of the five worldwide regions of the ACI with members representing more than 300 airports operating in the United States and Canada and nearly 400 aviation-related businesses.
