SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – The Greenbriar Children’s Center has announced its fourth annual online Day of Giving in conjunction with its traditional Christmas in July event, both to be held on Friday, July 26, 2024.

“For years, The Women’s Auxiliary and the Laymen’s Auxiliary of the Berean Missionary Baptist Association have helped to support our annual ‘Christmas in July’ event at Greenbriar”, said Gena P. Taylor, Executive Director. “We encourage our community to decorate their cars in the Christmas spirit and stop by Greenbriar’s campus from 4-6 pm to share some treats and learn more about our work in the community. In-kind donations of gift cards are gladly accepted for the children in our emergency shelter to help provide school supplies, clothing and other much needed items.”

During the Greenbriar’s Day of Giving, donors are encouraged to go to the Greenbriar website at GreenbriarChildren.org any time on Friday, July 26 and their gift will be matched by a group of anonymous donors, up to a total of $2,500.00

“This year is Greenbriar’s 75th year of helping children and families in Savannah,” said Ms. Taylor. “As a non-profit, we rely on the support of our community to continue to help those children who are most in need.”
