Chatham County Police asking for help identifying Highway 204 shooter

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – The Chatham County Police Department (CCPD) is asking eyewitnesses to come forward amid the investigation of Thursday’s fatal shooting on Highway 204 in a recent statement.

On Thursday, July 25, CCPD responded to a shooting on Highway 204 near Gateway Boulevard. An adult male was shot and transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The investigation into the suspect and motive is ongoing, but, according to the statement, CCPD detectives believe that “the victim was shot by the occupant of another vehicle.”

Now, the department is asking anyone who witnessed the shooting or may have information regarding the suspect to provide tips.
