Northern Florida, Southern Georgia, South Carolina into portions of Southeast North Carolina are about to see the heaviest rainfall in many years and quite possible historic rainfall amounts from Hurricane Debby. The hurricane strengthened overnight and is making landfall today along the coast of the Florida Big Bend area near Cedar Key. From here, Debby will be on a slow crawl northeastward and it may take all week for Debby to play out. This sets up for devastaing and potentially catastrophic rainfall in the areas noted above.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A Lancaster County family was reunited with their cat after he disappeared from their home three years ago.The Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department said in a news release that Tigger, an orange cat, was reunited with his family this weekend after going missing two to three years ago. The latest effort to bring Tigger home began on July 25, when Northern Lancaster police officers at their Warwick Township substation were asked to help with a stray cat hanging around a local business. Police put the business owner in touch with Anita Barr of Last Litter Rescue in Lancaster County. Police said Barr learned the stray cat belonged to a family in Boeyrtown who had been looking for him. Boyertown is roughly 40 miles from Lititz, where Tigger was hanging around the business. On Sunday, Tigger was finally reunited with his family."A-lot of times stories do not have a happy ending but this one is purr-fect, and NLCRPD would like to thank Anita Barr for her hard work and dedication to help so many cats and other animals have better lives," police said in the news release.

A Frontier pilot was handcuffed on board an aircraft in Houston and removed by Houston Police ahead of the flight's scheduled departure, officials confirmed on Saturday. The pilot was removed from Flight 3195 ahead of its planned departure from Houston to Dallas. Houston police identified the pilot as Seymour Walker, 45, who was wanted on an assault-family violence warrant.Law enforcement said they waited until the plane arrived at a specific gate at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport about 4 p.m. local time. When all passengers deplaned, officers boarded the aircraft and took the pilot into "custody without incident," police said. Frontier Airlines confirmed the incident in a statement to CBS News, saying "The activity occurred prior to the start of boarding for Flight 3195 scheduled from IAH to Dallas Forth Worth (DFW). A replacement crew member was not immediately available and therefore the flight was canceled."Passengers were offered a full refund, credit, or a spot on the next available Frontier flight.  "Airlines report incidents such as this to the FAA office that oversees them, and we investigate all pilot-related issues," the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement.
