    Comcast opens over 180,000 free Wi-Fi hotspots for Hurricane Helene victims. How to connect

    In response to Hurricane Helene , Comcast will open its network of Xfinity hotspots in Georgia and South Carolina to help those affected by the storm stay connected .

    Starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, September 27, more than 180,000 public Xfinity hotspots were made available for free to both Xfinity customers and non-customers.

    Residents and emergency personnel can access these hotspots located in shopping districts, parks, and businesses.

    How to find an Xfinity hotspot near you

    To find the nearest hotspot, users can visit Finder.wifi.xfinity.com , enter the zip code, and use the interactive map to locate and get details on hotspot locations.

    “During severe weather events, communication is critical, so we want to do our best to keep impacted residents connected,” said Mike McArdle, Comcast Regional Senior Vice President in an email. “We are proud to make our Wi-Fi hotspot network available to all residents for free across Georgia and South Carolina during this challenging time.”
