Friday Night Lights came back to Georgia and to the Greater Savannah area to a limited extent this week and area teams swept all seven games that they played.

Savannah Christian continued its dominating ways with a 38-7 win at cross-town rival Savannah Country Day. Benedictine went on the road and had an impressive region win over Warner Robins.

Richmond Hill opened region play with a win in a close game with visiting Tift County, and Bryan County beat host Screven County.

In non-GHSA action, defending SCISA state champion Bethesda had a big win over Beaufort Academy, and St. Andrew's and Memorial Day came away with wins.

There were some excellent individual performances in those games, and this is a chance for readers to weigh in and select the Savannah Morning News Football Player of the Week in an open poll with no restrictions on the voting.

The poll closes on Friday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m.

    Here are this week's candidates.
