Democrats open office in Hayward

The Democratic Party of Sawyer County and Lac Courte Oreilles invites everyone to the grand opening of their new office from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday May 28, at 15842 West Second Street, the Winton Law Office, in Hayward. There will be a ribbon Cutting at 3 p.m.

The new headquarters will be staffed by volunteers to answer questions about voter registration, state and local candidates for the November election, and to connect citizens with opportunities to help “get out the vote.”

The office will be open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Additional hours and days will be added later.

“Join us to meet your neighbors over snacks, discuss issues and plan for increasing voter turnout in November,” the party’s announcement stated.

“We are working together to fulfill America’s promise as a land of freedom, opportunity, and justice for all. We are committed to electing Democratic candidates at all levels of government.”
