CORVUSO — The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 21-year-old female from Willmar for possessing methamphetamine as she passed through the area on a motorcycle.

The 21-year-old female was on the back of the motorcycle driven by a 44-year-old female, also from Willmar, who was arrested for fleeing the scene and driving on a revoked license, according to a release.

When authorities first went after the vehicle, the driver of the motorcycle got away on the bike. However, unmarked patrol units followed the suspects before a Meeker County deputy intercepted the pursuit at the intersection of Meeker County Road 1 and Meeker County Road 28, according to a release.

The pursuit eventually made its way to Minnesota Highway 7 when the driver pulled over a mile and a half west of Corvuso.

Since 2021, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension reports amphetamines and methamphetamines consist of 114 of Meeker County’s 180 total drug possession arrests, which is 63%. The category is the most common drug arrest in Meeker County, beating cannabis-related offenses.
