With Halloween and Thanksgiving just around the corner, several of the area's farms have already opened or are preparing to launch their fall season of pumpkin patches, apple picking and other activities.
Multiple farms offer a range of attractions that both children and adults can enjoy, and some come with no additional fees beyond items purchased.
Where to pick apples, pumpkins and visit a corn maze near St. Cloud
Triple S Pumpkins
This Royalton pumpkin patch offers visitors a variety of pumpkins, as well as other fall items such as gourds and straw bales. Triple S Pumpkins also features a tractor playground, petting zoo and wagon rides. Their Snack Shack serves items like hot dogs, nachos and apple cider. The farm does not charge admission or parking fees, helping keep customers' costs low on fall festivities.
Triple S Pumpkins is open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Oct. 27 at 7408 Imperial Road in Royalton.
Stoney Brook Farms
Stoney Brook Farms houses Minnesota's largest corn maze at 35 acres, along with 16 miles of pathways through the field. This year's maze theme, "Under the Sea," features an ocean scene with a mermaid and other sea creatures. Inside the overall maze, visitors can embark on three different paths with differing lengths and levels. Stoney Brook Farms also has a pumpkin patch, and customers can purchase food items, including cheese curds and donuts.
Stoney Brook Farms is open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Oct. 27 at 989 115th Ave. NE in Foley.
A Maze'n Farmyard
Located outside of Eden Valley, A Maze'n Farmyard hosts several different fall activities, from a corn pit to its 20,000-square-foot "Adventure Maze," which includes four games across a range of difficulty levels. The farm also has many animal-related attractions, including pony rides and duck races. Children can also pet and feed farm animals. In addition to fall festivities, it offers mini golf and a "Barnyard Bonanza" shooting gallery.
A Maze'n Farmyard is located at 57645 State Highway 55 in Eden Valley. It is open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. through October.

Fairhaven Farm
The first-generation fruit farm, Fairhaven Farm, is home to several pick-your-own options, including apples, pumpkins and flowers, and an Alice in Wonderland-themed corn maze. Visitors can choose from more than 20 apple varieties, some of which are unique to Fairhaven, such as their Intensity, Black Mac and Capt'n Crunch apples. Fairhaven also does not charge an admission fee.
Fairhaven Farm is located at 13835 51st Ave. in South Haven. It is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day until its Thanksgiving Market the Saturday before Thanksgiving, though hours for some attractions may differ.
A and G Corn Maze
A and G Corn Maze near St. Joseph is home to several unique attractions, like its 8-acre Reba McEntire-themed corn maze, goat fishing activity and "unicorns." Customers can also visit the location's pumpkin patch, which features a sign that families can take pictures with to celebrate their children's first time picking pumpkins. A and G also offers prizes to those who complete their corn maze the fastest.
A and G Corn Maze is open Saturdays and Sundays through October from 11 a.m. until dark, with the last ticket sales at 5:30 p.m. Their farm is located at 10448 345th St. in Saint Joseph.
Collegeville Orchards
Located outside of St. Joseph, Collegeville Orchards offers customers Minnesota-grown apples and other items like pumpkins, gourds and grapes. The orchard sells more than a dozen varieties of apples, including their Redwell, Honeygold and Regent varieties. The orchard also houses a vintage store that sells produce, decorations, jams and other items. Visitors can also take part in wagon rides, pumpkin painting and visiting the petting zoo.
Collegeville Orchards is open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 15517 Fruit Farm Road in Collegeville.
