February 15, 1943 – May 4, 2024 - Carol Kibodeaux Waitkus, 81, of Scappoose, Oregon passed away peacefully at her home on May 4, 2024.

Carol was born on February 14, 1943 in Punxsutawney, PA. She had also lived in Texas and Montana, but eventually settled in Scappoose, Oregon where she felt at home.

Carol was an amazing florist for her entire life. She always took pride in her designs and arrangements. Carol had worked for the last 15 years of her career at Flowers by Darlene in Scappoose. She was also proud of the fact that she could sell you a tractor part or a chainsaw, if needed, since the flower shop was inside the local feed store.

Carol loved cooking and baking and she was incredible at it. She really enjoyed sharing her "leftovers" with everyone. Carol also was an avid Nascar fan and always looked forward to race day. She also spent many hours watching all the birds and wildlife in her yard, and definitely LOVED all her cats: Carol didn't think there was such a thing as too many! One of her favorite sayings was " I live in a zoo!"

Carol will be truly missed by her family, friends and everyone that she touched over the years.

Carol leaves behind a son, Jim (Deanna) Kibodeaux and daughters Andrea Hunt and Rene' (Calvin) McMillan. She's also survived by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Rick Waitkus and daughter Denise Copeland.
