Jury Convicts Woman on Felony Charge For Fleeing Rochester Police
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Twin Cities area woman has been found guilty of a felony charge connected to a vehicle pursuit in Rochester two years ago. 31-year-old Mickela Joy Vrendenburg was charged last year after she allegedly fled from Rochester police officers in September 2022 when they went to a Rochester address associated with her to serve a felony arrest warrant and observed a vehicle leaving the residence with a malfunctioning taillight. An officer then attempted to stop the vehicle, but Vrenenburg kept driving and allegedly accelerated to around 50 mph in a residential area of southeast Rochester.
Owners of Rochester IBM Complex Have Big Plans For the Site
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The owners of the sprawling IBM complex in northwest Rochester have begun planning for a major development at the site. Industrial Realty Group, or IRG, has submitted documentation to state regulators for an environmental review of two different development scenarios for what is now known as the Rochester Technology Campus. According to the filing with the Minnesota Environmental Quality Board the proposed mixed use development would include residential, commercial, industrial, and recreational uses.

The winner of a massive lottery prize has less than a month to claim it before a six-figure piece of paper effectively becomes worthless. Back in March, a Powerball ticket was purchased at a Kwik Star, located at 1502 South Federal Avenue, in Mason City, IA. That ticket proved to be a lucky one, as it's now worth $500,000. It's nice to see these coming out of the ground like this. Archaeologists in Iowa have made a significant discovery with the unearthing of a well-preserved mastodon skull, dating back approximately 13,600 years. This find, located in the southern part of the state, is Iowa’s first notable mastodon and includes several bones primarily from the skull. The timing of this mastodon’s life aligns with the era when the first humans were inhabiting the region. I wonder if this mastodon knew the Flintstones.
Pre-Season High School Volleyball Rankings
(Area) — The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union has released its Pre-Season Volleyball Rankings. In Class 1A, Riverside is ranked #8 — the Bulldogs went 27-11 last season and only lose two seniors this year. Ayla Richardson (636 assists, 96 kills, 143 digs, 39 blocks, 35 aces) returns at Setter, Elly Henderson (207 kills 145 digs, 36 blocks, 21 aces) is back up front, and Sophia Taylor (183 kills, 64 blocks, 19 aces) will give the Bulldogs a dynamic three-punch attack.
