    Schenectady police close off McClellan Street after stabbing

    SCHENECTADY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — A portion of McClellan Street in the city of Schenectady is closed as police continue to investigate a stabbing.

    The stabbing took place just after 8 p.m. Wednesday on the 300-block of Furman Street. Police said two men sustained stab wounds. They were taken to Albany Medical Center in stable condition.

    Police said a residence on McClellan Street near Becker Street is believed to be connected to the stabbing and was surrounded by officers Wednesday night. McClellan Street between State Street and Becker Street will be closed for several hours.

    The investigation into the stabbing is active and ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (518) 788-6566.
