City officials will also consider the first reading of a new ordinance outlining acceptable building materials for permanent fencing in town. The topic was first introduced during the June 24 meeting after staff received multiple complaints about pallet fences, but it was tabled after the council wanted more specific language about what will and will not be allowed. Other items on Monday’s agenda include setting a public hearing date on a proposed development agreement with Ziegler Caterpillar for their planned site on the east side of Carroll and a cost estimate for resurfacing the Great Western parking lot near downtown.
