Florida Board Of Education To Vote On Athlete Pay
The State Board of Education deciding if it will allow high school athletes to be compensated for endorsement deals. The vote comes after the Florida High School Athletic Association approved the change allowing high schoolers to get paid for their names, images and likenesses. Board Chair Monica Colucci says NIL is a work in progress. Student athletes will not be able to profit off deals endorsing alcohol, vaping or social activism. A college NIL law went into effect in Florida in 2021.

STAFFORD — Kevin and Lisa Webb of Clifton Springs Country Club won the New York State mixed team golf senior title after five playoff holes at Stafford Country Club on Monday.
