Florida Board Of Education To Vote On Athlete Pay
The State Board of Education deciding if it will allow high school athletes to be compensated for endorsement deals. The vote comes after the Florida High School Athletic Association approved the change allowing high schoolers to get paid for their names, images and likenesses. Board Chair Monica Colucci says NIL is a work in progress. Student athletes will not be able to profit off deals endorsing alcohol, vaping or social activism. A college NIL law went into effect in Florida in 2021.

Rensselaer Police search for found puppy’s owner
Rensselaer Police need your help reuniting a lost puppy with its owner. The dog was found near Aiken Avenue and South Street Monday morning, police said. No one had claimed him by Tuesday afternoon, police said. At least one person has stepped forward as a potential adopter, but police must wait five days before the dog is released, they said.
