CARROLLTON – The Carroll County Sheriff's Office canceled a missing person alert Friday afternoon, after saying authorities had located a 77-year-old man who had been missing since Thursday night. The Sheriff's Office had issued an alert Friday morning. It said a Carrollton man who suffered from memory loss had driven away from his home Thursday night and hadn't been seen since. Sugarcreek’s cost toward EMS radio upgrade rises
The Sugarcreek Borough Council learned that the cost of staying current with Venango County’s upgraded EMS radio system has risen to $50,600, up from about $48,000 last year. Police Chief Bob Wenner, who presented this update, was unsure of the reason for the increase. The new system is expected to be operational in nine to fourteen months. Additionally, the council discussed grant applications to cover these costs and approved entering into a memorandum of understanding with the Oil Region Alliance for assistance in grant opportunities.
