Central Ohio is positioning itself as a place to foster transportation innovation in areas like autonomy and electrification, particularly as they intersect with agriculture. “Mobility, and smart mobility, and agriculture are definitely tied together,” said Doug McCollough, the inaugural, newly named executive director of The Beta District, an area stretching from Columbus through Dublin, Marysville and Union County. Local kickball event combines sport with healthcare fundraising efforts
Steubenville, OH — A fundraiser was held in Belleview Park today in an effort to provide free healthcare to Ohio Valley residents. The fourth annual "Kickin' It for Ohio Valley Health Center" kickball tournament featured eight co-ed teams in a double-elimination-style bracket. The cost was two hundred dollars per team and included awards for the winning team and best uniform. Raffles and concessions were also offered at the event, which organizers say was born out of necessity during COVID.

One golf outing in Steubenville aimed to accomplish a little more than a hole-in-one. The Josh Merriman Foundation Golf Outing returned to Steubenville Country Club today for its seventh year. Featuring raffles, food, and rounds of golf, the day was ultimately about honoring and remembering Josh Merriman, a multi-sport athlete who took his life at the age of 21. According to organizers, the goal was not just to have a good day of golf, but to bring awareness to and tear down the stigma of mental illness.
