It started with a phone call from The General. Bob Knight demanded a lot from his managers, an unpaid group of undergrads who spent countless hours at Indiana’s Assembly Hall. From potential All-Big Ten players to unlikely starters, the group can bring a variety of talent and experience to their position groups in Ann Arbor. After losing 18 starters from last season's national title-winning squad, the Michigan football team is hungry for more hardware. But to like their chances, the Wolverines didn't want to just count on their returning players and underclassmen recruits. Instead, Michigan once again tapped into the NCAA Transfer Portal, adding nine transfers to bolster its two-deep.

Former hub for Michigan LGBTQ+ community closing; condo development proposed for site
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) - Steps away from the Ann Arbor Farmers Market, Braun Court was known for decades as a tight-knit, LGBTQ+-owned business district. It featured Aut Bar, Common Language Bookstore, the Jim Toy Community Center and Trillium Real Estate, the last independently owned business standing in the nearly empty court. Trillium was opened by Linda Lombardini and Sandi Smith in 2008. The couple said the culture in Braun Court was a major draw when deciding where to launch a business. "There was a lot of energy going on here, and that's what we bought into," said Smith. "It became kind of just...

Michigan football skyrockets up recruiting rankings after huge recruiting weekend
Rival fans have to find some other way to cope with Michigan football’s recent success now that the Wolverines are starting to fill out the 2025 recruiting class. One of the area of opportunity they’ve had in recent months has been to make fun of the Wolverines’ recruiting ranking, which was quite low — especially for a defending national champion — hovering in the 40s according to 247Sports. But why was that?
