North Oconee baseball rising senior Noah Allen committed to Ole Miss on Tuesday. The right-handed pitcher re-opened his recruitment in mid-April, backing off a verbal pledge to Georgia that he made in October 2023 following the Bulldogs' coaching shift. As a stalling front slowly sags into our region by tomorrow, we’ll see a wetter pattern into the next several days. The risk of flooding rain can’t be ruled out. The rainier conditions will help keep our temperatures a little lower. Today’s high temps will still be hot as they reach the lower 90s but the heat index will “only” be about 100 to 106 which still feels quite hot so continue to use caution and remember to stay hydrated and take breaks in the shade when participating in outdoor activities.
