Turkey vulture goes home with animal control
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — An animal control officer in Belle Fourche had an unexpected house guest earlier this week. Police said the officer picked up an injured turkey vulture on Tuesday. Authorities said on the police’s Facebook page, the bird spent the night at the officer’s home and was taken to the Black Hills Raptor Center on Wednesday.

While most banks, such as Wells Fargo and First National Bank, will be closed in observance of the federal holiday, nationwide stores such as Target, Scheels and Walmart will remain open with local store hours varying. Federal offices, such as the United States Postal Service, will be closed.

Top Legion Baseball teams meet at Ronken Field for doubleheader
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -They were supposed to play 2 next to the Renner Steakhouse. But the doubleheader was moved to Ronken Field on the campus of Augustana between 2 of the top teams in South Dakota.
