Two Northeast Mississippi Community College pitchers selected in MLB draft
Two pitchers who played for Northeast Mississippi Community College have been selected in the 2024 Major League Baseball Draft. Aidan Foeller of Southaven and Colby Holcome of Florence, Alabama, were selected in the same MLB First-Year Player Draft Class. Foeller was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers while Holcome was picked by the Toronto Blue Jays.

Mayor Jerry Lowery said the board is necessary because state law dictates that any industrial development in the city is negotiated by the county commission without it. Three Charged In Cadiz Drug Investigation
A month long drug investigation led to a man and two women being charged with trafficking and possession of drugs in Cadiz Thursday afternoon.
