Suspect in East Lincoln Shooting Has Been Arrested
LINCOLN–(KFOR July 3)–A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a shooting that happened early Sunday morning in an east Lincoln parking lot. LPD says Alharith Kambol was taken into custody on Tuesday evening during a traffic stop at 33rd and “O” Street. Kambol has been charged with first-degree assault, attempted first-degree assault and terroristic threats. He’s accused of being involved in a shooting that happened early Sunday in a parking lot in the 5100 block of Vine Street that left a non-life-threatening wound in the torso of a 19-year-old man.

McCook Football League will be having equipment checkout on Sunday July 7th at the McCook Junior High School in McCook. Equipment checkout for pre-registered participants will start at 6:00 p.m. and walk-up registrations will be accepted at 6:45 p.m. Checkout will be on the North side of the school. (KSNB) - In the program’s first game without head coach Joel Schipper, who is leaving Hastings to take over at NCAA DIII Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the Hastings Sodbusters beat Plainsmen Baseball 7-1. This was the first of a Tuesday doubleheader, since Monday’s game was postponed due to weather.
