North Scottsdale United Methodist Church is offering a Lenten Art Walk 10-11:30 a.m. Sundays, March 10-31, at 11735 N. Scottsdale Road. Visitors can delve into the Stations of the Cross through murals and still artwork.

A Good Friday Tenebrae service, titled "Behold the Darkness!", is 7 p.m. Friday, March 29. A Tenebrae service is characterized by its symbolism of encroaching shadows and mirroring the somber atmosphere of the crucifixion.

Candles are gradually extinguished until only a single flickering light remains, creating an atmosphere of reflection and introspection. The service traditionally includes reading of Biblical passages, enhancing the emotional depth of the experience.

An Easter egg hunt is 10 a.m. Sunday, March 31. Hundreds of colorful eggs are filled with surprises tailored for the young participants.

All events are free and open to the public.
