The James Agency, a Scottsdale-based, woman-led, insights-first marketing agency will mark its 19th anniversary in March by celebrating a successful 2023 and start to 2024.

Last year was a banner one for the data-driven agency, including signing new clients, expanding its office footprint by 4,100 square-feet, hiring key team members, as well as appointing internal promotions that will round out the agency’s second decade and bring it into its next era.

TJA announced its consultative offering, Stratagem, in early 2023. Stratagem promised to provide the highest ROI on client dollars, allowing TJA’s subject matter experts to divest the client investment into the marketing channels that are most strategic for their individual brand, including web development, social media, public relations, creative and paid media.

Stratagem allows for additional flexibility when client needs call for a pivot in strategy. It continues to attract new clients to TJA, including new 2023/2024 clients USA Pickleball, Sub-Zero Group Southwest, Black Desert Resort, Heart to Hands Surrogacy and Be Well Health.

In addition to gaining new clients, TJA hired and promoted several key team members that will continue to evolve the agency’s subject matter expertise and provide strategic insight for its clients.

Mike Palmgren, a paid media expert with more than 30 years in the industry, has been hired as director of media. Christina Caldwell, who joined TJA in 2021 as public relations account supervisor, was promoted to director of public relations. Doug Loback, a longtime TJA team member, shifted roles to partnership development director. Nate Carson was promoted to senior web developer, heading up the design and development of websites for TJA clients. Natalia de la Peña, previously TJA’s social media account manager, was promoted to social media account supervisor.

In addition to promotions, TJA hired several new TJA team members. TJA also expanded its client services team, including A’Stacia Galloway and Claire Jones as project managers, Tatum Skogebo as account manager, Josie Brzenk and D’Anna Davis as partnership development coordinators. Rebecca Johann joined TJA as a content creator, delivering client messaging and strategic positioning for TJA clients.

In November, the agency expanded its office space at The Quad in Scottsdale by more than 4,100 square-feet, bringing its total office footprint to more than 12,400 square-feet. The additional square footage allows the agency to continue to hire and grow, including the addition of an in-house production studio facility, an on-site coffee shop, meeting space for collaborative work, private call rooms and additional conference room space.

TJA will celebrate its new space and 19th anniversary with a ribbon cutting ceremony with clients, team members and select members of the community in mid-March. Invited guests are invited to enjoy a cocktail hour with catered bites and on-site entertainment.
