Second annual Scottsdale Family ArtsFest March 22 & 23

Scottsdale Unified School District and community partners are hosting the second annual Family ArtsFest March 22 & 23 at SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center, 1301 N. Scottsdale Road.

Other partners include the City of Scottsdale, Scottsdale Arts, Arizona State University, SkySong and the Scottsdale Community Partners.

The free, two-day festival will feature:

• Musical and theatrical performances and art exhibits by SUSD students

• Engaging, family-friendly arts activities from Scottsdale Arts Learning & Innovation

• Scottsdale Community Partners’ annual sale of locally created ceramics (some by SUSD students) to benefit Alli Ortega Empty Bowls

• Interactive demonstrations from Scottsdale city departments

• Culinary delights from local food trucks

Proceeds from the Empty Bowls fundraiser support Scottsdale Community Partners programs, such as Vista del Camino Food Bank, the annual Back-to-School supply and clothing drive that culminates each July at Scottsdale Stadium and the Healthy Packs weekend food program that provides healthy meals to SUSD students when they’re not in school.
