The Saguaros’ annual Olympiad event, held April 19, 2024, at Scottsdale Stadium, brought together around 700 real estate professionals to celebrate the culmination of months of fundraising. And the participants had a lot to celebrate.

This year, The Saguaros Olympiad teams raised over $775,000 for Saguaros Children’s Charities, according to a press release.

“We want to thank the hundreds of volunteers who dedicated their time to fund raise on behalf of The Saguaros,” John Theis, 2024 Olympiad chairman said in the release. “We had 80 teams participating at this year’s Olympiad and thanks to a ton of hard work securing sponsorships and donations, we are adding nearly $800,000 to our foundation.”

The Saguaros will soon be announcing their annual gifting to Arizona children’s charities. Last year, the philanthropic organization donated $1.7 million to 28 children’s charities.

Founded in 1987, the philanthropic and social club known today as the Saguaros has raised millions of dollars for local Arizona non-profit organizations. Composed of up to 50 young men under the age of 40, The Saguaros proudly give back to the community and support children’s charities through three main fundraising events: Niteflite, Cards for Kids and the Olympiad.

The Saguaros are unique among service organizations in that they not only raise money for children’s charities, but also encourage “hands on” interaction with the children the club supports. This active participation serves to strengthen relationships with those it serves and create a true partnership with its charity partners. Plus, thanks to the dedicated charitable foundation, all proceeds from Saguaros’ fundraising activities are funneled directly to 501 (c)(3) foundation, with 30% of the funds going into an endowment fund, and the remainder going into a general fund for disbursement to the club’s charity partners.
