Artists of Empowered Theater + Arts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Scottsdale, will perform Rodger and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella: The Enchanted Edition” at Phoenix Center for the Arts, 1202 N. 3 rd Street in Phoenix, May 30—June 1.

Thursday and Friday performances will take place at 7 p.m. and the Saturday matinee at 2 p.m. Phoenix Center is an intimate, historic theater with only 216 seats, so it’s important to reserve tickets as soon as possible, according to a newsletter.

Lamar earned her Bachelor of Music from Bowling Green State University on a full scholarship and continued her studies at Indiana University.

“The world needs to know the brilliance of these artist,” Lamar says. “I, along with our fierce group of founding leaders, have chosen to establish ETA to ensure individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, a historically disenfranchised population, has access to a variety of arts opportunities with an organization that is committed to accommodating and advocating for their needs, goals and desires. We will empower their growth and proper representation in all mediums of art.”
