    Scottsdale nonprofit appoints new executive director

    Claudia Chavez has been appointed the new executive director of STARS (Scottsdale Training and Rehabilitation Services).

    Chavez has been with STARS since 2011. She has held various roles, most recently serving as the director of operations, where she gained a profound understanding of the organization’s programs and their incredible impact on participants, their families, and the community.

    Under Chavez’s leadership, STARS aims to enhance the delivery and sustainability of its services while cultivating a leadership and cultural framework that will drive long-term growth and community impact. Chavez is committed to fostering a work environment where trust, respect, and collaboration are paramount.

    STARS’s mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities through day programs, on-site work centers, in-home services, community-based employment training opportunities, and transition programs for young adults.
