Monroe County sheriff's deputies have identified the man shot to death in Scottsville early Sunday morning. Kevin J. DeFlavis, 43, of Scottsville was fatally shot on Main Street in the Village of Scottsville about 2:20 a.m., sheriff's spokesman Deputy Brendan Hurley said on Monday. Deputies on scene found DeFlavis deceased from a gunshot wound.

Investigators continue to conduct interviews and canvas the neighborhood for witnesses, according to police. All parties involved have been accounted for, and there is no ongoing threat to the community, Hurley said.

"Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time," Hurley said.

No further information was released. The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information is being asked to call 911.
