Dustin’s First Alert Forecast: Afternoon showers and storms through Monday; Quiet & calm midweek
With the end of the weekend, watch out for passing showers and storms as we go into the afternoon and evening hours. A few storms could contain gusty winds and some localized heavier downpours but will stay away from any major flooding concerns today and again Monday. Rainfall amounts will be under an inch but some locations could pick up over an inch if a heavier shower is moving by. Other than the showers and storms, coastal areas need to pay attention to possible overwash up and along Highway 12 and down towards the Crystal Coast, thanks to Ernesto passing by in the Atlantic this week. Temperatures remain in the upper 80s to low 90s and lows near 70°.

Durham Police Execute Search Warrant; Sieze Firearms, Ammunition, Drugs; Arrest Suspects
DURHAM, NC – On August 15th, the Durham Police Department’s Special Operations Division executed a search warrant at a home in the 600 block of Homeland Avenue. Officers located and arrested Rodrick McNatt, 31, and Tyree Bullock, 35. The search led to the seizure of 14 firearms, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, over 50 magazines (including numerous extended magazines, two 50-round magazines, and one 100-round magazine), firearm accessories, two bulletproof plate carriers, marijuana, ecstasy, and $273 in cash.
